Sea Independent Portugal is situated in a country with a great maritime heritage. Jos Gielen, our agent in this country, also is an Airline Captain with KLM Royal Dutch Airlines. He has seen all continents and oceans, and one can say he is a man of the world.
His passion for sailing led him to attend the Yacht Brokers course at the European Maritime Certification Institute and joining a well-known, top-quality yacht brokerage firm in Holland. After moving to Portugal in 2005 he started Tulip Yachts.
Portugal has much to offer to sailors and their families. Good weather year round and a high level of service and maintenance facilities. It is not without reason that many international sailors come to Portugal to prepare for the Olympics and around the world races.
